Duration: The experience lasts up to 20 minutes.

Bristol Aquarium

January 5 – February 13: 10am – 4pm weekdays, 10am – 5pm weekends.

February 14 – July 17: 10am – 5pm every day.

July 18 – August 31: 10am – 6pm every day.

September 1 – November 1: 10am – 5pm every day.

November 2 – December 18: 10am – 4pm every weekday, 10am-5pm every weekend.

December 19 – January 3 2027: 10am – 5pm every day (Closed December 25)

Duration: we recommend allowing at least an hour to an hour and a half to explore the whole aquarium

Customers are welcome to turn up at any time on their booking date, during opening hours.

Customers are welcome to re-enter the aquarium as many times as they like on the day of their chosen visit.

Accessibility information:

Guests can access the ground floor of Upside Down House Bristol via a temporary ramp, leading into the inverted experience with plenty of photo opportunities. The attraction itself has two floors, separated by a spiral staircase, with no lift or ramp alternative to the second floor. The ground floor is only part-accessible for wheelchairs, so the experience may be more limited.

Here at Blue Planet Aquarium we pride ourselves on being a great place to visit for all the family and our space is designed with access for everyone in mind.

Our facilities include:

Free admission for carers on a 1:1 basis*
Dedicated accessible parking
Lift access to each floor
Ramps throughout the attraction
Accessible toilets throughout the building
Wheelchair hire (£10 returnable deposit)

*Guests with health conditions or impairments may be entitled to a free of charge carer’s ticket upon proof of eligibility. Accepted forms of eligibility include; Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment letter, current and valid Blue Badge, letter from GP or Consultant confirming the need for a full time carer or a current and valid Access Card displaying the ‘+1 essential companion’ symbol. A maximum of one free of charge carer will be admitted per eligible paying guest. Additional carers require a valid ticket.

We also offer selected days for our autistic guests with fewer visitor numbers to ensure lower noise levels and allow young explorers increased movement around our exhibits. Get in touch with us to find out more about our enhanced accessibility dates.

1. General
1.1. The Split Ticket provides admission to both Bristol Aquarium and Upside Down House Bristol as part of a joint promotional offer.
1.2. Purchase of this Ticket constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
1.3. Each attraction is operated independently, and entry is subject to the standard rules, regulations, and opening times of each venue.2. Validity
2.1. The Ticket is valid for one-time entry to Upside Down House Bristol. Visitors can attend Bristol Aquarium as many times as they would like on their chosen date, within the opening times.
2.2. The Ticket is valid for use on the chosen date. Extensions will not be granted for unused portions.
2.3. Tickets must be retained and presented upon entry at both attractions.

3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1. The Ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable.
3.2. No refunds will be given for unused or partially used Tickets.
3.3. In the event of a forced closure (e.g., due to weather or public health restrictions), ticket holders should refer to each attraction’s individual refund or rebooking policies.

4. Liability
4.1. Each attraction is solely responsible for its own operations, services, facilities, and safety measures.
4.2. Neither Bristol Aquarium nor Upside Down House Bristol accepts responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage incurred at the partner site.

5. Promotions and Discounts
5.1. The Ticket may not be used in conjunction with other offers, discounts, or promotions unless explicitly stated.

6. Changes to Terms
6.1. The attractions reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
6.2. Any significant changes will be communicated through official channels where possible.
